14 mile test run

7:33a Preparing for 14 miler. Boston temperature: 33 degrees. I will be wearing yoga pants with a pocket, four tops, possibly some gloves, and my lucky hat.

Haven’t run as much as expected this week, minor complication, stomatitis, which essentially means that my mouth is falling apart on the inside. No problem, unless you want to eat, drink, or sleep. Aspirin helps. I have the “undoctor” – very rare to prescribe – she says this will clear itself (no timetable indicated). My friend says her father had this when he was recovering from chemo, which makes me feel both better, and worse. They give me a gargle recipe.

Our plan today is to run the Marathon route from Mile 12 (Wellesley) to end on Commonwealth Ave.

Not feeling as hydrated as I could right now but here we go.
